Hason Raja is a great mystic poet in Bangladesh. He is famous as a spiritual figure in Bangladesh and beyond. His songs and poems attract the attention of people of all religions alike. He was born in 1854 in a wealthy landlord's family in Sylhet. He led a very luxurious life in his youth. But later he grew thoughtful and meditative. His deep thought about the Creator, life, death, and mankind made him indifferent to his famous books, 'Hason Udash' and 'Hason Raja Samagra'. The first one was published in 1906, and the second one was published late. His songs and poems were popular all over Bangladesh and beyond. His popularity extended to India's West Bengal through some eminent folk singers there.
