A Village Market - Composition


 There are many kinds of markets. A village market is one of them. It is held is the villages. It is a center where the buyers and sellers meet together. It takes place either in an open space or beneath a big tree. It is also held by the side of a river or at the end of a village. It usually sits twice or thrice a week. Some markets sit in the morning, some after dusk and some at noon. Again some markets sit in the afternoon too. Some markets sit daily to sell fish, vegetables, milk and other goods. Local products are usually available in the village markets. Customers from different villages gather here to buy these things. It is the center of all types of commercial activities of the village. It is a crowded place where thousands of people gather. In a village market there are permanent as well as temporary shops but the number of temporary shops is greater.


The village market has several sections, such as fish market, vegetable market, rice market, cattle market etc.

A village market is a place of great noise. People are very busy here and everyone moves is a great hurry. It is a kind of recreational center too.
