গত ৪ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২২ মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা তার সরকারি বাসভবন আর্থৎ গণভবন থেকে ভার্চুয়ালি যুক্ত হয়ে পিরোজপুরের কচা নদীর ওপর নির্মিত বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিব ৮ম বাংলাদেশ-চীন মৈত্রী সেতুর উদ্বোধন করেন। এ সেতু উদ্বোধনের মধ্য দিয়ে বরিশালের সঙ্গে খুলনা বিভাগের নিরবচ্ছিন্ন সড়ক যোগাযোগের দুয়ার উন্মোচিত হয়। ৭ আগস্ট ২০২২ চায়না ঠিকাদারি প্রতিষ্ঠান চায়না রেলওয়ে ১৭ ব্যুরো গ্রুপ কোম্পানি লিমিটেড সেতু মন্ত্রণালয়ের কাছে সেতুটি হস্তান্তর করে।
The beginning of the Bangladesh-China friendship bridge
On September 4, 2022, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Bangmata Begum Fazilatun Necha Mujib 8th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge built over the Kacha River in Pirojpur via virtual connection from her official residence, Arthat Ganobhaban. Through the inauguration of this bridge, the door of uninterrupted road communication between Barisal and Khulna division was opened. On 7 August 2022, the Chinese contractor China Railway 17 Bureau Group Company Limited handed over the bridge to the Ministry of Bridges.

অফিসিয়াল নাম: বঙ্গমাতা বেগম ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিব। এটি দেশের অষ্টম
বাংলাদেশ-চীন মৈত্রী সেতু। যার নির্মাণ কাজ উদ্বোধন হয় ১ নভেম্বর ২০১৮ এবং সেতুটি
উদ্বোধন করা হয় ৪ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২২। এটি নির্মিত হয়েছে কচা নদীর ওপর। এ সেতুর
দৈর্ঘ্য : ১,৪৯৩ মিটার। তবে মূল সেতুর দৈর্ঘ্য ৯৯৮ মিটার। গ্রন্থ : ১৩.৪০ মিটার।
নির্মাতা করেছে চায়না রেলওয়ে ১৭ ব্যুরো গ্রুপ কোম্পানি লিমিটেড। এটি নিমার্ণে
ব্যয় হয়েছে ব্যয় ৮৯৪ কোটি টাকা। যার মধ্যে চীনের ৬৫৫ কোটি টাকা আর বাংলাদেশ
সরকারের ২৩৯ কোটি টাকা দিয়েছে।
Inauguration of the 8th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge
Official Name: Bangmata Begum Fazilatun Necha Mujib. It is the eighth Bangladesh-China friendship bridge in the country. The construction of which was inaugurated on 1 November 2018 and the bridge was inaugurated on 4 September 2022. It is built on the river Kacha. Length of this bridge: 1,493 meters. However, the length of the main bridge is 998 meters. Text : 13.40 m. Manufactured by China Railway 17 Bureau Group Company Limited. 894 crore has been spent on its construction. Out of which, China has given Tk 655 crore and Bangladesh government has given Tk 239 crore.

Ø প্রথম. বুড়িগঙ্গা সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ১৯৮৯ সালে ; এর অবস্থান পোস্তগোলা,
ঢাকা; এটি বুড়িগঙ্গা নদীর উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য ৭২৫ মিটার।
Ø দ্বিতীয়. শম্ভুগঞ্জ সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ১ জানুয়ারি ১৯৯২ সালে; এর অবস্থান
ময়মসিংহে; এটি ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য ৪৫৫ মিটার।
Ø তৃতীয়. বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ ক্যাপ্টেন মহিউদ্দিন জাহাঙ্গীর সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ২৩
জুন ১৯৯৩ সালে; এর অবস্থান চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জে; এটি মহানন্দা নদীর উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য
৪৪৮.৩ মিটার।
Ø চতুর্থ. করতোয়া সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি ১৯৯৮ সালে; এর
অবস্থান দেবীগঞ্জ, পঞ্চগড়; এটি করতোয়া নদীর উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য ২৭৫ মিটার।
Ø পঞ্চম. গাবখান সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ২০০২ সালে; এর অবস্থান ঝালকাঠি;
এটি গাবখান চ্যানেলের উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য ৯১৮ মিটার।
Ø ষষ্ঠ. মুক্তারপুর সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ১৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০০৮ সালে; এর অবস্থান
মুন্সীগঞ্জ; এটি ধলেশ্বরী নদীর উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য ১,৫২১ মিটার।
Ø সপ্তম. আচমত আলী খান সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ২০ আগস্ট ২০১৫ সালে; এর অবস্থান
মাদারীপুর; এটি আড়িয়াল খাঁ নদীর উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য ৬৮৪ মিটার।
Ø অষ্টম. বঙ্গমাতা শেখ ফজিলাতুন নেছা মুজিব সেতু; উদ্বোধন হয় ৪ সেপ্টেম্বর
২০২২ সালে; এর অবস্থান পিরোজপুর; এটি কচা নদীর উপর অবস্থিত; এর দৈর্ঘ্য ১৪৯৩ মিটার।
• গাবখান চ্যানেলটি বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র অষ্টম কৃত্রিম নৌপথ, যা বাংলার
সুয়েজখাল নামে পরিচিত। গাবখান সেতুটি দেশের সর্বোচ্চ উঁচু সেতু হিসেবে স্বীকৃত। দীর্ঘতম
স্প্যান ১১৬.২০ মিটার, যা বাংলাদেশের সর্বোচ্চ।

- First. Buriganga Bridge; Inaugurated in 1989; Its location is Postgola, Dhaka; It is situated on the river Buriganga; Its length is 725 meters.
- Second. Shambhuganj Bridge; Inaugurated on 1 January 1992; Its location is Mymsingh; It is situated on the river Brahmaputra; Its length is 455 meters.
- Third. Bir Shrestha Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Setu; Inaugurated on 23 June 1993; Its location is in Chapainawabganj; It is located on the Mahananda River; Its length is 448.3 meters.
- Fourth. Kartoa Bridge; Inaugurated on 14 February 1998; Its location is Debiganj, Panchagarh; It is located on the Karatoa River; Its length is 275 meters.
- Fifth. Gabkhan Bridge; Inaugurated in 2002; Its location is Jhalakathi; It is situated on the Gabkhan Channel; Its length is 918 meters.
- Sixth. Muktarpur Bridge; Inaugurated on 18 February 2008; Its location is Munshiganj; It is situated on the river Dhaleswari; Its length is 1,521 meters.
- Seventh. Achmat Ali Khan Bridge; Inaugurated on 20 August 2015; Its location is Madaripur; It is located on the Arial Khan River; Its length is 684 meters.
- Eighth. Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatun Necha Mujib Setu; Inaugurated on 4 September 2022; Its location is Pirojpur; It is located on the river Kacha; Its length is 1493 meters. • The Gabkhan Channel is the only eighth artificial waterway in Bangladesh, known as the Suez Canal of Bengal. Gabkhan Bridge is recognized as the highest bridge in the country. The longest span is 116.20 meters, which is the highest in Bangladesh.
চীনের যেসব মৈত্রী সেতু
বাংলাদেশ-চীন কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্ক স্থাপনের পর থেকে আজ পর্যন্ত চীন
সরকার চায়না এইড (ChinaAid) কাঠামোর আওতার বাংলাদেশে ৮টি সেতু নির্মাণ করেছে।
এগুলো সব বাংলাদেশ- চীন মৈত্রী সেতু নামে পরিচিত। সর্বশেষ চীনের অর্থায়নে
পিরোজপুরের কচা নদীর ওপর নির্মিত হয় ৮ম বাংলাদেশ-চীন মৈত্রী সেতু। আর প্রথম সেতু
হলো বুড়িগঙ্গা নদীর ওপর নির্মিত বুড়িগঙ্গা সেতু। এটি প্রথম বুড়িগঙ্গা সেতু
হিসেবেও পরিচিত।
China's friendship bridges
Since the establishment of Bangladesh-China diplomatic relations, the Chinese government has built 8 bridges in Bangladesh under the framework of ChinaAid. All these are known as Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge. Finally, the 8th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge was built on the Kacha river in Pirojpur with Chinese funding. And the first bridge is the Buriganga bridge built on the Buriganga river. It is also known as the first Buriganga Bridge.
