Noun অর্থ নাম। কোন ব্যক্তি, স্থান, বস্তু, অবস্থা, ধারণা, গুণ, কাজের নামকে Noun বলে। যেমনঃ John, Song, Boyhood, Action, Kindness etc.

যে শব্দ দ্বারা কোন এক জাতীয় প্রাণী/ গোষ্ঠী/ বস্তুর নাম বুঝায় তাকে common noun বলে।
