Position: National Contracts Officer
Educational Qualification: Masters Degree in Public International Law/ Law/ related field from any recognized University.
Experience: At least 2 years relevant professional experience. Also experience in contract review in a private sector entity, law firm, international governmental organization, United Nations.
Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
Skills: Good communication & negotiation skills. Sound analytical skills. Skills in reviewing legal papers/ documents.
Job Nature: Initially one year contract with possibility of extension
Responsibilities: Process & collect contracting needs of ensure & mission that contracts are prepared with IOM regulations & rules. Coordinate & draft approval of various types of agreements & contracts necessary for implementation & development of IOM project in time. Disseminate & implement within country office legal advice from contract law of IOM division relating to including, contracts & existing templates. Responsible for liaison with IOM contract law division in contract related disputed & response to court invitation/ summons to arbitration/ conciliation. Responsible as focal point within country office. Trainings on concluding agreements & contracts for IOM staff. Negotiating legal terms of agreements & contracts & undertaking consultation with external and internal entities. Any other task assigned by authorities.
Salary: NO-A (UN Salary Scale)
