Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is a Non-Profit National and Non-Governmental Development organization which has been implementing activities for almost three decades to improve the living standards of the people, especially the marginalized and underprivileged. The project "Essential Healthcare for the Disadvantaged in Bangladesh (EHD)" funded by FCDO of British Government and lead by Concern Worldwide is being implemented by PHD in all Unions of Char Fashion Municipalities of Char Fashion Upazila like 8 upazilas of 3 districts of Barisal Division. Applications are invited from permanent residents of Bangladesh for following posts in order to increase maternal health and reduce maternal & child mortality in Char Kukri Mukri Union and a remote area of ​​Char Fashion Upazila.

Position: Midwife

Vacancy: 2

Educational Qualification: Three (3) years Midwifery course Completed from a recognized institution or Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery courses. Candidate must get registration from Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Experience: At least 2 years experience in normal delivery. Experience candidates will get preference. Preference will be given to candidates from Char Fashion Upazila and Bhola District.

Requirements:
Age of candidates within 18 to 32 years. No affidavit of age is admissible. If it is necessary to refer a pregnant / maternity / newborn, necessary action should be taken without delay. Must be ready 24 Hours 7 days to deliver and provide other emergency services. Managing HBB and AMTSL.

Salary and Other Benefits: Salary Negotiable. Accommodation and security will be provided by the Family Planning Department and Union Parishad as it is compulsory to stay at work. Other financial benefits will be provided as per the approved budget of the project.

Job Nature: Project period contract.

Responsibilities: Delivering and assisting in normal delivery. Neonatal and maternity resuscitation if necessary. Refer the patient at the right time through thorough screening or observation. Day / night duty has to be done according to the roster. Providing ANC, PNP and safe delivery services at Union based Health and Family Welfare Centers. Conduct satellite clinics at the community level and provide necessary healthcare and counseling to pregnant, maternity and newborn. Provide any maternity services at the Union Health and Family Welfare Center. Provide disability friendly ESP services as per national standards and protocols. Provide health education and work intensively with health and SRHR promotional activities. Participate in all health / health center related meetings / seminars / trainings. Maintain regular accounts of supplied medicines and various goods and ensure stock updates. Midwifery Lead Center services need to be properly stored and reported as needed. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities, local government representatives, other colleagues and other stakeholders. To do other work as required by the organization or project.
