Under the PKSF funded Pathways to Prosperity for Extremely Poor People (PPEPP) project implemented by People's Oriented Program Implementation (POPE), the following posts are being sought from interested candidates for implementation of activities in remote villages / unions in Itna Upazila of Kishoreganj District.
Position Name: Assistant Technical Officer - Nutrition
Educational Qualification: Must have completed 4 years MATS course or 3 years Rural Paramedic course.
Salary: BDT 18,000/- Also other facilities scheduled in the project.
Work place: Itna and Nikli upazilas of Kishoreganj district.
Experience: Must have 2 years work experience at community level in nutrition and primary health care activities.
Age: Maximum 35 years. Age is relaxed in case of more qualified candidates.
Responsibilities and duties:
- To play an active role in the implementation of nutrition services at the union level as a nutrition counselor.
- Implement direct and indirect nutrition activities such as Direct Nutrition-Intervention through coordination with Community Clinics and Family Welfare Centers.
- Establish family farms with nutritional gardens, animal and fish resources in the poorest households in coordination with the livelihood activities of the project and ensure nutritional security by ensuring diversification of household food through proper utilization of nutrients in the household.
- Ensuring the availability of 1000 days of nutrition and health services for the golden potential of the baby, prenatal ANC, postpartum PNC, nutrition of pregnant and maternity mothers, nutrition of baby food, adolescent nutrition, nutrition of fertile women (15-49 years) and nutrition services for adults.
- Ensure that severely malnourished children receive referrals and services at the Sam Corner of the Upazila Health Complex.
- Maintain liaison with public and private multi-sectoral partners, including health and family planning officers at the union level, and participate in monthly meetings.
Other terms:
- Must have the mentality to work on foot in the designated work area in collaboration with the general public.

Position Name: Assistant Technical Officer - Community Mobilization
Educational Qualification: At least degree pass. Preference will be given to graduates with degrees in Social Sciences, Law, Anthropology, Social Welfare.
Salary: BDT 18,000 / - Also other facilities scheduled in the project.
Work place: Itna and Nikli upazilas of Kishoreganj district.
Experience: Must have 1 year work experience in Community Mobilization, Networking Advocacy, Right Based Approach, Training.
Age: Maximum 30 years.
Responsibilities and duties:
- To conduct regular research on existing social problems at the community level, especially on child marriage, eve-teasing, violence against women, drugs, dowry and to recommend effective action.
- Assist project members in accessing services with local government organizations and maintain regular contact with service providers.
- To act as Focal's assistant in implementing community mobilization activities and providing technical assistance.
- Directly monitor and supervise branch level community mobilization activities.
- To prepare financial, technical and monthly progress reports on community mobilization activities and send them to the appropriate authorities.
Other terms:
- Must have the mentality to work in remote, haor and char areas.
- Must have the mentality and experience to work in a team.
- Must have general knowledge of computer.
- Must be proficient in cycling.
